Facilitated by trained volunteers with their own lived experience, these circles are designed to reduce isolation, build meaningful connection, and foster hope. No matter what you are walking through, you do not have to carry it alone.

  • "Willow is a safe space where I can heal. I’m thankful for the freedom to share my journey openly and without judgment. It’s a place to grieve, and also a place filled with love."

    —Willow Community Member

  • “Sharing in my grief with others and telling my baby's story through Willow has been a soothing balm for my wounds.”

  • Yes. Our peer support groups are a core part of Willow’s mission and are completely free to attend. We believe that everyone deserves a community of support, regardless of their financial situation.

From time to time, our professional counselling team may offer a process group that carries a fee, which will always be clearly communicated in advance.

  • We offer both online and in-person groups, depending on the topic and your location. Each group listing will indicate the format so you know how you can participate.

  • Each group meets once a month. You’re welcome to join multiple groups in a month — for example, an online group and an in-person group — to get the support that fits your needs.

  • Our groups are facilitated by trained volunteers who have "lived experience." This means they have walked through their own version of the challenges Willow supports. They aren't there as clinical experts, but as peers who offer a safe and steadying presence for the circle.

Common Questions

  • Each session is 90 minutes. We start with about 20 minutes of introductions and psychoeducation, followed by an hour of open discussion where everyone can share and connect.

  • Not at all. We understand that speaking out loud can feel overwhelming, especially if your experience is recent or heavy. You are welcome to simply come, listen, and be in the company of others who understand. There is never any pressure to share more than you feel ready for.

  • No - our peer-support groups are open, and you’re welcome to attend as many sessions as you feel you need, with no pressure to commit to every meeting.

Please note: Any Process Groups led by our professional counselling team may require commitment to a certain number of sessions.

  • Our peer-support groups are drop-in, so you can join whenever it feels helpful.

Please note: Any Process Groups led by our professional counselling team may be closed.
